School Self Defense - You Have to Gain Respect
When it comes to school self defense, it is always a touchy case. Fighting or beating up someone in school is somewhat different from doing the same thing on the street. It's because the fact that after the fight you WILL meet the assailant (or victim) again and again. This is the main reason why you shouldn't cause him severe injuries. You don't want and don't need to hurt him too much. Here is what you really need in the school: RESPECT. In this tutorial I will teach you how to gain respect in such a community.
School Self Defense - About Bullies
Well, if you have come to this site, you are probably not a school bully. There is nothing wrong with this. Bullies don't really visit sites like this because they don't feel like they need any advice on fighting. After all, they don't like reading at all... Although they can be big, strong and can have a nice little company around them all the time, they are not very smart.
Fear and School Self Defense
The best self defense in school is when YOU are feared. To make others go in fear of you, you will need a lot of respect. Respect comes from physical intimidation and by beating up people who are thought to be stronger than you. If you are afraid of fighting or don't want to be involved in such things, you will never have the respect you need. You have to fight for it! There is no other way around it. It's just like in animal societies; you are ranked somewhere in the hierarchy. To get a higher rank, you need respect. To gain respect, you have to fight and defeat someone who is in a higher position than you. It's that simple.
School Self Defense - The Power of Appearance
When you are a freshman, newbie or just starting school, it's the best time to show them who you are. The very first thing you should do is go to the local gym and hit the weights on a regular basis. It may take months or even years to get in shape and build a body that intimidates people. However, there is no need to look like a bodybuilder and you don't need to take steroids at all.
Physical Intimidation and School Self Defense
Train your whole body but concentrate on your arms. Make sure you work them at least 3 times a week because arms play a significant role in physical intimidation. Don't believe the shit that everyone is talking about in the self defense industry. They tell you something like this: "no matter how big he is, no matter how strong he is, learn these techniques and you will beat up anyone regardless of size and muscular strength". That is bullshit. They tell you this kind of crap because they want you to buy their scammy product. In reality, appearance and muscular strength DO matter! So you better start working on it.
The Proper Attitude for School Self Defense
OK, by hitting the weights on a regular basis you made the first step to build some confidence. The next one is the attitude. If you really want to learn school self defense and gain respect, I recommend you adopt the following principles:
- do not take shit from anyone
- look self-confident in every situation
- always act seriously
- do not talk too much
- do not ever tell stupid jokes to anyone
- do not try to be the funny guy
- never laugh at weak people
- do not laugh too much in general
School Self Defense - The Role of Fighting
By following these principles and starting to build a powerful and muscular physique you will gain almost enough respect to be someone who is no to be reckoned with. That is almost enough for school self defense. But there is one more element to success: fighting. As I've mentioned earlier in this tutorial, you can't avoid fighting to build respect.
